I’m Monica, soy Monica. I have been traveling sola for over 20 years. I realized long ago that if I didn’t fly solo, I was going to end up restless waiting for others. That sounded like no fun and off to Paris I went. That was 2003. I haven’t stopped since. 

During a particularly hard time in my life not too long ago, I hit the road. I drove from San Francisco to New York and back. I looked for short term rentals along the way that were hosted by women. I instinctively knew that they would keep an eye on me. The road healed me, and the women along that road helped keep me safe. 

Travelling to me is my soul medicine, a blessing, a privilege, a vision corrector, the key that unlocks endless possibilities, a hug from the universe, and sometimes, if you get real lucky… magic.

OyeMoni Livin' was born from wanting all women to experience that magic. From the long road trips, plane rides, the quiet mornings in unfamiliar kitchens, the breathtaking sunsets,the burst of joy from having “I did it!” wash over you, to the women along the way who remind you that you can leave and still be held.

My ethos is rooted in freedom, return to self, adventure, and a touch of rebellion. An invitation to live authentically, bravely, and curiously you. To travel alone, but not unsupported.
